Gorilla trek

Bwindi National Park is located in the southwestern part of Uganda, on the border of the Great Rift Valley. Bwindi is home to more than 350 mountain gorillas, perhaps the most remarkable animals on the African continent today. In addition, the park has approximately 346 bird species and more than 200 butterfly species. The main tourist activity in the Bwindi Forest is trekking Gorillas and there are 4 groups now available to be visited by tourists every day. The Mubare group has 10 members with 1 silverback and was opened in 1993 to tourism. The Habinyanja group has 8 members, 2 silver backs and was opened to tourism in July 1998. The Rusheguru group with 10 members and 1 silver back was ready in July 2002, and the other group Nkuringo with 19 members and 2 backs silver was ready. April 2004. Gorilla monitoring in the Bwindi Forest can be very difficult and requires good physical fitness. Follow-up starts early in the morning, around 8:30 in the morning, and can go from 2 hours to all day based on the movements of the gorilla.
